Brevard Little Theatre (BLT) is considered the “Official Community Theatre of Transylvania County.” Since 1935, BLT has produced live theatre in Brevard, and the all-volunteer nonprofit organization provides quality performances, as well as acting and educational opportunities for youth and adults throughout the season. BLT relies solely on ticket sales, advertisers, fundraisers, grants and donations.

The following is BLT’s summer schedule:
•“Broadway Cabaret” will feature varied musical performances from Broadway shows. The performances are BLT’s yearly fundraiser. “Broadway Cabaret” will be performed at 7:30 p.m., July 11-13, and at 3 p.m. on July 14.
•The musical “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” involves a group of sixth graders eager to win the spelling bee for very different reasons. The show will be performed Aug. 22-25, 29-31, and Sept. 1.
